You should point out that these are fantasy locomotives and not real.

I'm not exactly sure what You made. Those don't look like any train in the US.
Your passenger cars are very short. American Passenger cars are 80 Feet. Longer then German Passenger cars (I think, I know the Rheingold cars were 77 Feet or 23.50 Meters).

As long as you had fun making them though. That is important. If I had seen what you were making I could have helped.

I'll give you a little information on the US Gas Turbines:

*The Turbines in the US never once pulled passengers.
*They were very slow designed to pull over 100 freight cars at a time. maybe 40mph top speed?
*They produced so much exhaust that anyone in locomotives (and probably passenger cars) after the turbine would asphyxiate due to lack of air when it would go though a tunnel. they were very dangerous, if they stalled in the tunnel the train crew could die. they would be banned now by OSHA.
*They also did not have steam generators to power and heat passenger cars.
*they had 4 bogies for a total of 8 axles per unit.
*there was never a B-unit made.
*they did not run two hooked together. They were designed to run in MU, But were not. The first unit used all the oxygen and the second unit always stalled and shut off.
First and second generation Turbines had 5000HP and the Third Generation had 8500HP but could run up to 10,000HP at very slow speeds.
*They burned so much oil, they needed a fuel car.
*They look completely different from your model. Lots of stuff on the roof. no portholes, no side metal like the EMD locos.
    *Only Union Pacific used these.
*They only ran in one place. That was a short run, The Wasatch Mountains. They went from Ogden Utah to Green River Wyoming and Back.
*They did not even last 10 years.
*The only other Turbines to run in America were the UA Turbo Train and the RHOR Turbo. These were very different and very small passenger trains.

*Images borrowed from the Turbine Set for Locomotion*

    First Generation

    Second Generation

Third Generation (Half of it. It came in 2 parts)

    The Fuel Car

*Youtube video to show you the Exaust (note that is not a Booster, the 3rd generation was in 3 parts. There is no turbine in the first part [a small 850hp engine to help start/stop the turbine and to shunt the empty locomotive in the yard])

@Lego_trains : the Rhinegold-carriages (I presume you mean the blue-ivory coloured from the 1960ties) already had the modern standard length of 26.4 meters ( 86.6142 ft ) ;)

I meant the TEE colored Cars, You're right. I went to look again and they are 26.4 meters. I must have had a different Car open on the Marklin site. I'm not sure what one then. It is not important.

It could had been not so unimportant, because there were also shorter Rhinegold-Carriages - the "Schürzenwagen" in steel-blue design at the early 50ties - you might have mean them ;) they were only 22,5 meters long ;)
