    I get that,

    When i asked, it only had 3 downloads. it would have been an easy change then.

    Most authors use a set prefix.

    SQ=SQ
    LT=Illegal Alien
    NL=NL set
    CT=Chris Trains
    US=US set
    BR = BR set.
    DK=Dekosoft payware
    the list goes on..

    For future supports it would be easier for people to ID the set/item by the ID.

    In addition, the Dekosoft sets all erase all DKS*.dat's since the early beta's. this cant be changed due to bad dats in the first few releases.

    it would erase walters files each update.

    If he wants to call me names and just continue on, that is fine. I was just trying to help the end users out.

    I would appreciate it if you did not name your trains so that they mix into my sets.

    Out of respect, if you could rename these dats to something other then "USxxxx" "DKxxxx"

    It causes confusion among the players when sets have the same prefixes.

    It is easier to stop future production now... Fix what bugs you have now...

    Listen to the beta testers...

    I always said "Quality over Quantity"; slow down and make fewer items that are better quality then lots of lower quality items.

    Some people just rush out lots and lots crap that if given a bit more time, could be so much better.

    Once you have mastered the problems you have now, then you can resume your work....

    It is better to stop and perfect a few locomotives/cars and solve a few problems now then have to fix 200 locomotives/cars in a few months.

    Trust me, I have had to do that and it is awful.

    By any chance is Your PC a Dell?

    This is a Known issue going back years on several Dell Dual-core models.

    It is a SecuROM 5 Issue.
    SecuROM 5 and Dual-core Dells have issues.
    In addition, SecuROM 5 and Vista can fail on any Dual-core PC.

    It is the Dell motherboard or the DVD drive they use. Securerom crashes.

    Almost all Atari products that use SecuROM 5 have this issue. Atari has issued No-CD patches for all affected games except Locomotion for this issue.

    Topic on TT-Forums: http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=42768

    The only way around this is to bypass SecuROM. The only way to do that is to use a No-CD Patch.

    Hrmmm. That was the polish ttd and lomo forum. I was there the day I posted the link. Sq and I were discussing it because it had files stolen from other locomotion sites.

    Oh well. They had lots of polish mods. It is sad to see another locomotion forum dissapear.

    This is possible.
    I do it all the Time exactly as you described.

    1. You make Your shunting Train.
    Loc, Waggon, waggon, waggon, waggon, Engine Flipper (track sound)

    2 "route" the shunting train to go to the siding, and get a full load. Then have it go to the yard and "Unload All Items"

    3. Have the Electric Route to the "Yard" and get "Full Load".
    Then have it go to the destination.

    Give me a few minutes and I'll post a video.

    Maybe instead of just snapping back, read what what I said. I did not ask of You have permission for the model. I was offering a friendly reminder that the Union Pacific Railroad requires You to get a license from them to put Any item from any of the following Railroads in to MSTS or Locomotion.

    Unlike the DB, UP is not so friendly. They are suing model makers and video game add on makers for use of their logos and name.

    UP.COM Union Pacific Licensing Program
    Union Pacific owns one of the oldest and most famous corporate trademarks in the nation, as well as many other historic railroad trademarks that were acquired and are used by Union Pacific.

    In order to protect the company's trademarks from unauthorized use and potential harm, Union Pacific requires a license agreement for commercial uses of these marks on goods or for services. These restrictions do not apply to in-home model railroad hobbyists who create Union Pacific-branded equipment for personal use.

    Union Pacific's trademarks :

    Alton & Southern
    American Refrigerator Transit
    Chicago and North Western
    Denver & Rio Grande
    Missouri-Kansas-Texas (Katy)
    Missouri Pacific
    Pacific Fruit Express

    This includes MSTS and Locomotion freeware.

    The same goes for Canadian Pacific. I recall You remember the email You got from them. I got one from UP also. I had to apply for a license or remove my sets.

    I'm am not trying to be rude, I am letting you know some information..

    This is a statement i got from Brenda Mainwaring of Corporate relations at the Union Pacific Railroad. She seems very cooperative and general liscencing for freeware repainters and payware. Below is a statement she sent me to clear up UP's regaurd on particularly Train-Sim matters.

    "Union Pacific has implemented a licensing program to monitor and regulate use of trademarks of the constituent and historic railroads that comprise the modern Union Pacific. Anyone who wishes to use one of these trademarks in a train simulator program needs to request permission in the form of a licensee application. For hobbyists who are not affiliated with software manufacturers or distributors and who distribute their product as freeware, there will be no fee associated with the licensing contract. Hobbyists may continue to use Union Pacific trademarks for their personal use, but any public distribution of a Union Pacific trademark must be approved in advance by Union Pacific. Licensee applications for model railroaders can
    be found on the Union Pacific website at http://www.up.com. Click on "general
    public" then "corporate information" then "UP licensing program" to
    download a PDF-format file."

    Any questions should be directed to "brendamainwaring@up.com

    It should be noted that posting of repaints you have done and photos IS permitted.

    if you want to mail by USPS the application, send it to the following address.

    Brenda Mainwaring
    Director, Corporate Relations
    Union Pacific Railroad
    1416 Dodge Street, Room 801
    Omaha, NE 68179

    Fill out the application to the best of your ability. Most of us here who paint UP stuff do it for free and we are not a corporation. It may be of merit to e-mail Brenda telling her you are a hobbyist who does freeware repaints and also put that somewhere on the application. This will tell her that you are not making money and that you are not a corporation selling UP products. Also if you get confused on any part of the application e-mail brenda. She is very nice and will answer any questions you may have, she has already been plenty helpfull to me :)

    Here is the fax number if you want to fax in the application

    Walters train is an ICE 1.

    It is the ICE1 from the Aerosoft Highspeed pack.

    @Lomogamer: The ICE 1 Had a Gray Roof on the engine and White on the Coaches.

    @SQ The Aerosoft model is not mapped with a seperate roof texture

    If You guys wanted an ICE1 You should have said something. I have one i made in MAX for lomo.

    I also have an ICE 2 Bistro. The end car would take an hour or so.

    New to some I guess.

    New Packs are not posted yet. While you could not download, I could not upload.

    As posted on TT, I upgraded to a new PC for making lomo sets and had a Hard drive fail within the first 6 hours of use. I am waiting on my replacement hard drive. The files are safe in a back up but i must first rebuild. they will be up in the next few days.

    They include. Megapack 1.0.1 update, Dekosoft BNSF set, LTD1 Conrail (Ver 2.0), Lomo 1.5 Repacked, Locomotion Portable, London and Port Stanley Pack, UC Pack, and Repacks of some older sets to work with the Mod Crawler.

    Possible Dekosoft (secret? unreleased set)... The MSTS version will be released soon. The lomo set is done before the MSTS version. This one is waiting on the OK.

    Due to the release of 6 new packs last month including the US MegaPack1 at 100mb and BR set 5 at 50mb.

    We used up our allotted 200GB of bandwidth for the month. Instead of opting to pay the small fee for more, we decided to wait the 4 days as a reminder not to waste bandwidth on any of the LoMo servers. instead, make backups when you download stuff.

    AMI is here to stay with new releases this weekend when the switch is flipped back on.
