Ich habe mir mal die Mühe gemacht, die Agentur anzuschreiben, die die wirtschaftlichen Interessen von Chris Sawyer vertritt. Dabei habe ich gezielt nach den Copyrights für Locomotion gefragt. Meine Anfrage und deren Antwort füge ich hier mal an. Ich war so frei, die dedizierten Kontaktdaten und den Namen des Schreibers zu entfernen. Falls jemand eine qualifizierte Übersetzung liefern möchte, darf derjenige dies gerne tun. Ich lese aus dem Kontext eine leichte Kritik an Chris Sawyer und Atari heraus. Vielleicht interpretiere ich das aber auch falsch.

Chris Sawyer owns all rights. Exclusive rights for the PC are currently
held by Atari. He has not given anyone permission to make any patches or
clones, and we try to discourage them, though the net and the ethos of
modding makes it impossible practically to stop them.
Sad to say Atari did not make the most of its licence in LOCOMOTION.
This does not mean that new commercial versions are not possible however.
