    I have unlocked the feature to have a timeline for editor made cities... yes cities can grow. i will have a working beta version soon with a TIMELINE. more information will be posted here

    Okay everyone! Am working on a Complete pack featuring Bucharest, the capital city of Romania, South-East Europe.

    I plan on including in it

    - XL 1280 Map of Bucharest done as close as possible to the real city. At least the main roads and main buildings and neighborhoods but withing the limitations of the game engine. So far 80% of the roads are done
    - NEW ADDS all over the city like known brands (Nike, Esprit, Puma, Philips, Samsung, Mcdonalds, Pizza Hut, etc, etc... too many to list here) *See screnshots
    - NEW ADDS for the airport, mainly Airlines. *See screenshot
    - new location for the map editor (Romania) with Romanian names for citizens. *done
    - new loading screen and city badges. *done
    - Romanian Banks and flags. *done
    - logo for the main company of public transport in Bucharest
    - tasks as in scenarios
    more to come

    So far i have finished some parts of the city center and some parks, living areas but there is soo much to do

    tried 1.6 with the release gs files and it didnt extract any file. does that work with v 1.7?

    well it does affect gameplay considerably ... depends on the multiplier and perhaps pc specs. look at my previous posts

    New version 1.1 with nicer logos from Volcano and new Comerz Bank for Vienna. There cannot be more than 6 banks so any new ones will have to replace another. Untill a moderator comes to approve the upload, here is a

    WoW, i have never had a forum section only for myself anyway....

    After you set

    Code
    $beta = false;

    in your build.script, to unlock save/loading the game will crash when you want to play the only scenario that is in the beta Part with Petrol. I have found a workaround it so the game will not crash anymore and you can actually play that scenario

    go into Cities in Motion\metro\ui\menus\ and find scenarios.script open with notepad and look for this:

    Code
    if (MAIN.$build.$beta)

    and replace with

    Code
    if (MAIN.$build.$beta == false)

    and save the file. Go play the scenario that was crashing the game ;)

    Hi folks! i have spent about an hour making some, i say, cool little things for CiM beta. Why not the demo you say? well because it only has the tutorial in it.

    This little mod will change all your banks for sandbox Vienna with real ones and also for the Tutorial Scenario and/or sandbox which, to my surprise, it is set in England. you have also the option of increasing the maximum number of banks available from 4 to 6
    this is for the English version of the game but you can just copy the language strings from en_US.strings to de.strings just look for // Bank Strings

    Bank logos included:
    Vienna:
    - Bank of Austria
    - Erste - Sparkasse Group
    - Raiffeisen Bank
    - Volksbank

    UK
    - Lloyds
    - Barclays
    - HSBC
    - Royal bank of Scotland

    Common International ones
    - ING
    - Citibank
    - ABN-AMRO

    Instructions are in the readme.txt in the archive.

    Now the images are not the best as i just took them from google so if any1 has some photoshop skills and wants to make them more eye candy please do and share.
    Comments and suggestions are welcomed ;)

    i think it has more to do with rendering all the citizens and cars because as soon as i changed everything to low... the game was MOVING. on HIGH it was not

    so with my AMD X2 3.1 Ghz, 2GB ram and Nvidia 9500GT 512 ram it was running at about max 5 fps with 100 multiplier. at a 10x multiplier it was still smooth

    guys, post your results please. Multiplier number and fps... and maybe pc specs.does the game run better with higher specs or it just stalls?

    What happens when you play in Vienna with a population of 1.650.000 citizens. That is more or less the real population of Vienna.

    Well you can see for yourself in the screens below. But the consequences are also HIGH

    by increasing the citizens multiplier in environment.scripts to 100 you get these screens but be warned for:

    - long loading times
    - no rendering at big resolution and level of detail
    - NO FPS. with my pc i had 1-4 fps

    but on the good side... it is so much fun to see what happens

    Okay the work is done and have uploaded the mod in the filebase section but i cannot seem to see it there. The fact that the page is in german does not help :((

    The mod is for both English and German versions. How does it work?

    Install the mod with the instructions in the readme. and go in game and play SANDBOX. chose a a new logo and click randomize name and you will get the real name of the company. The old logos still have randomized names or you can write your own name for ANY logo. new or old. Enjoy

    Hey guys i saw the Logos Mod and looks cool. Now i can also add the real names to them if you want. But since i am not german i do not know which logo goes to which name

    The Mod is now in the download section. What does it do? Adds real company names for the company logos that Volcano made. it is for English and Deutsch version and works only in Sandbox
