After all the fine-tuning, I have managed to finally remove that temporary supporting box to bring you this, which much more realistic:

All I have to do now is create the wires and tow bar to connect the coupler with the engine, then add the conductor rail, completing the bogey. But, how high is that kleinprofil conductor rail? ?(

The bogey connections are also being made:

First stage of the interior cab construction: each part will be constructed flat then later rotated to the appropriate angle: here's a sneak peek at the non-movable parts of the main control:

Left to Right: SIFA, digital control, direction lever, throttle lever.

What is missing now are some high-detail textures which I'd like to request please. Thanks.

Setting it to zero is probably the best option.

Also, for the next beta, self-illuminating interiors are going to be introduced.

    Okay:

    Code
    light_doorwarning_left_0 {
       kind "corona"
       texture-kuid <kuid:-3:10112>
       att "a.doorwarnlightL01"
       frequency 1
       directional 0 <----
       object-size 0.075
    }

When I set the value of "directional" in the config.txt file to 0 then the lights do show up okay, but when setting it to 1, the lights have suddenly dimmed due to the restrictions as to where it is meant to shine towards. I could leave it at zero but the lights would go through the metal work.

Well, I must say the Toaster just became the Toasted!

Great work with the model, meanwhile.

The corona issue is apparent in all trains and is in fact linked to the fact that they were designed for signals. I may try a custom corona.

Do you mean the rear lighting or the door warnnig indicators?

BTW, I have redone the door sounds on Adobe Audition. Is there a way to upload the recordings so you can hear what it will look like?

Gisela Trailer in development: it took about fifteen minutes to convert a standard engine car into a trailer, before saving as a separate file.

For your information, for the next Beta I am actually planning to increase the detail of the engine sound. Seeing the maximum speed is about 30mph, I may try about 10 notches.

Yes, and I am quite annoyed that the update of the database had to be pre-approved for such a great development.

I've updated the database entry to have Cloud Nine credited further, but now the entry has disappeared suddenly. Anything wrong?

Arrangements are now being made to release the beta shortly.

Oh, I forgot that little ladder that was in the blue print. I'll add that as I try to integrate the windscreen wipers.

It's not that the people in Modular City have fantastic legs. ;)

    Zitat von Akati the Fox

Can I ask something: will this train be avaiable for trainz 2007 or not?

    - Akati (Chris) -

TRS2007 is build 2.6. I will see what I can do but I am trying to take advantage of the latest Trainz technology of 2.9. What I did do however, which will work for all editions, is the new blinds being added as part of an entirely independent script, and I took the Gisela for a ride in Boga Island:

Preliminary works for the bogey design: the photos are used as a base then the textures are designed for each part.

  • Gisela GI/1E (3Ds Max 9, Extension 1)

    • 4. Dezember 2009 um 19:05

I'll try, but I am not 100% perfect on scripting. However, the 3DS Max skills are now top-notch so I can prepare the parts and anims to be tweaked around by anyone who would like to help with the advanced scripting.

For now though, the modelling continues.

I'll try and get the C20 tonight, speaking of the speed of the engine, it was set for debugging purposes. I may also try separating the passenger doors to work with key-presses. I need to check what the key commands for TS2009 are.

Please note that the version you have is a prototype beta.

All extra blinds added. At the moment this is linking to the MCQ announcements for the Großprofil network: this means that passengers may be ignoring the blinds. so another split for the annoucnements is currently in the works.

    Pankow-Kirche no longer exists.

    Done:

    • Animated Pantograph acts as an access door between the cab and the interior.
    • Animated doors with warning lights.
    • 57 passengers can board each Gisela car.
    • Running numbers are now supported using the official Transit typeface (range: 0000-0 to 9999-9).
    • Destination boards are added, which covers U1-4, now using an independent engine.
    • Dynamic texturing to prevent blurred textures for distant Giselas.
    • Along with the default MCQ headlighting system (the attachments were facing the Z-negative direction), ordinary Headlights are supported for night-running in the open, and can be dimmed to 50% with SHIFT+L.
    • The external view cab is okay, but if processing power increase this may well be merged into the full cab then!
    • Door animation sounds with all lights are working in ALL types of stations, including sounds for all types of stations.
    • The acceleration and deceleration of the vehicle has returned to 3000.

    Im Bau:

    • Destination boards will eventually cover the Tarka Line in Devon, England.
    • The cars can be joined, but will need new bogeys: that is in the works and the wheels turn.
    • Sound engine.
    • The driver's entry door will be split to become a door operable by a command key.
    • Extend passenger door lighting to non-MCQ stations.

    To do:

    • That little black disc on the roof (trivial)
    • An internal view cab will need to be created
    • Announcements
    • The trailers! (those in the form ####-2 or ####-3), but the way I designed it allows it to be "mixed and matched" to achieve it.

And now, here is a preview of the new signage blinds for the Gisela, presented in the Transit typeface: although it has been squeezed to 80% of the width due to the ratio restrictions on Trainz.

Since the MCQ ones don't have U2 and other kleinprofil lines I will have to make up my own script, so I am doing the latter.
